Beverly Hills, CA – November 17, 2024 – Angels Nest, a community dedicated to supporting youth aging out of foster care, invites you to a powerful brunch benefit at the Waldorf Astoria, bringing together advocates, philanthropists, and former foster youth for an unforgettable morning of stories and hope.
Keynote Speaker: Retired child welfare judge, Hon. Sherri Sobel, will lead the event with insights from her career in the child welfare courts, highlighting the critical need for stronger support systems to uplift foster youth facing life’s toughest transitions.
Panel Discussion: Former foster youth will share personal journeys—stories of courage, resilience, and growth in the face of hardship. This panel will shed light on the challenges of navigating life after foster care and the impact of programs like Angels Nest and Wings of Empowerment. The Wings of Empowerment initiative, a partnership between Angels Nest and Butterfly’s Haven, offers housing and a path forward for young women transitioning from foster care and experiencing homelessness.
